SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—Williams College scored 10 runs in the top of the ninth on the way to an 11-4 come from behind win over Skidmore College in a nonleague baseball game Wednesday evening at Castle Diamond.

The Thoroughbreds are 10-17, while the Ephs improve to 9-14. Skidmore returns to Liberty League play on Saturday at Clarkson.

Skidmore struck first with
Jeb Clarke drove in two runs with a first-pitch two-out single in the second. Williams scored an unearned run in the third to cut it to 2-1.

The Thoroughbreds added two in the third. Steve Gilbert opened the inning with a double and then scored on a
Daniel Dasgupta single. Dasgupta would later score on a
Mat Marino sacrifice fly.

That would be it for the scoring until the Williams onslaught in the ninth. The Ephs sent 13 batters to the plate and scored 10 runs on seven hits and two walks off four Skidmore pitchers. David Rosas had the big inning with a two-run single and a two-run double.

Gilbert finished 3-5 to raise his average to an even .400. It was his fourth three or more hit game this season and third in the last five games.

Rosas was 3-6 with five RBI.

Skidmore starter
Jacob Berish pitched three solid innings, allowing an unearned run on three hits with two strikeouts.
Ben Murphy and
Misha Holzman followed that up with two scoreless innings each.
Will Potter (1-2) took the loss in relief.

Arnie Capute (2-0) was the sixth Williams pitcher and got the win with two perfect innings of relief.
