SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College baseball team downed St. Lawrence 6-5 in extra innings and then dropped the second game 6-1 in Liberty League action on Sunday at Castle Diamond.

The Thoroughbreds are 10-16 and 5-11 in league play, while SLU is 9-16 and 7-9.

GAME 1
Â
Skidmore, playing as the visiting team, scored three runs in the top of the second behind a two-run double from
Chris Lorenz. Lorenz then stole home for the third run on a perfectly executed double steal with
Jeb Clarke.
Â
The Saints came back to tie with three unearned runs in the third.
Daniel Dasgupta had an RBI single in the fifth to put the Thoroughbreds back in front 4-3. SLU catcher Devin Robson had an RBI double in the sixth to even the score 4-4.

Shankar Mani led off the seventh for Skidmore with a triple and then scored on a
Josh Brown RBI single. The Thoroughbreds allowed the Saints to tie it in the seventh and force extra innings.

Skidmore's
Hayden Smith reach3ed on a fielder's choice and then scored on an RBI single from
Steven Gilbert for a 6-5 lead.

Misha Holzman pitched out of trouble in the eight to get the save.
Peter Delalio (2-2) got the win in relief.

Frank Grady (1-3) took the loss for the Saints. St. Lawrence stranded 17 runners.

GAME 2
Â
The Saints got all the runs they would need with four in the bottom of the first inning on the way to the 6-1 win.
Â
SLU got a complete game from Evan Reichel (2-3) who limited Skidmore to one run on seven hits, with no walks and eight strikeouts.
Â
Robsen was 2-3 with a double and two RBI and Mic Regan went 2-4 with two runs.
Â
Patrick Geiger was 3-3 with a run. He scored on an RBI single by
Jack Walter for Skidmore's lone run.

Chris Reenstierna threw three scoreless innings of relief for the Thoroughbreds to finish the game. He only allowed three hits, with one intentional walk and three strikeouts.

Skidmore will host Williams College on April 20 at 4 p.m.
