SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—MIT scored the game's final six goals on the way to a 13-7 non-league men's lacrosse win over Skidmore College Saturday afternoon at Wachenheim Field.

The loss drops the Thoroughbreds to 1-1, while the Engineers are 2-0.

Skidmore spread the offense around with seven different players scoring.
Brendan Halloran and
Eric Megnia had a goal and an assist each.
Will Murphy had a team-high six ground balls.
Ryan Warnock scored a goal and had three ground balls.

Graham Davis led MIT with five goals, while Mitch Turley added three.

The Thoroughbreds led early, 2-1 in goals by
Cody Legeza and Halloran. Davis caught fire for the Engineers, scoring the game's next four goals to put MIT up 5-2 with 14:07 left in the second quarter.

Skidmore battled back to eventually tie it 7-7 on
Will Pottow's first goal of the season at the 4:35 mark of the third quarter. The Engineers were able to shut down the Thoroughbred offense the rest of the way, while scoring the game's final six goals for the 13-7 win.

MIT had a 49-42 shot and 36-28 ground ball advantage.

Chris Baughan stayed busy in goal with 18 saves for the Thoroughbreds. Eric Bartell had 13 saves for the Engineers.
