Mat Marino's grand slam keyed a seven-run fourth inning in Skidmore's 15-5 non-league baseball win over Heidelberg University Tuesday afternoon.

The Thoroughbreds are 2-3, while the Student Princes are 3-7.

Skidmore led 5-0 after three innings before Heidelberg got on the board with two in the top of the fourth. In their half of the fourth, the Thoroughbreds sent 12 batters to the plate, scoring seven runs. Marino accounted for four of the runs with his second home run of the season.

Skidmore added three in the sixth to go up 15-2 on the way to the 15-5 win.

Also for the Thoroughbreds,
Jeb Clarke was 2-4 with two runs and three RBI,
Chris Lorenz went 2-6 with three runs and two RBI, and Mike Fogerty was 2-3 with an RBI.
Josh Brown was 1-3 with a two-run double and three RBI, while
Jack Walter went 2-3 with two runs.

Kenny Ajello picked-up the win. He threw six solid innings, allowing two runs on five hits, with three walks and four strikeouts.
