SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's lacrosse team kicks off the 2016 season at home March 2 at 6 p.m. against Hartwick College.
Picked to finish second in the Liberty League, the 2015 Thoroughbreds posted a program-record 13 wins (13-5 overall, 7-2 Liberty League) and made their first appearance in the Liberty League championship game.
Skidmore returns seven starters and adds a talented group of eight first-year players.

Rachel Talanian. Phillips scored a league-high 55 goals and led the team with 49 draw controls while Talanian was tops on the team in caused turnovers (27). Junior
Megan Kolopsky will be in net for the Thoroughbreds after starting all 18 games, a year ago, with an 8.81 goals against average and .436 save percentage.
In addition to a tough Liberty League schedule, Skidmore's non-league schedule includes games with Ithaca, Hamilton, and Mount Holyoke.
