Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's basketball team knocked off previously unbeaten RIT, 67-66 in Liberty League action Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Center.

The win moves the 5-5 Thoroughbreds into first place with a 2-0 Liberty League record. The Tigers are 8-1 and 1-1.

A gritty Skidmore team erased a six-point deficit over the last two minutes for the win.

All-American
Kelly Donnelly led Skidmore with her sixth double/double of the season. She scored a game-high 24 points to go along with 12 rebounds, four steals, and the assist on the winning basket.Â
Migle Vilunaite had a double/double of her own with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Veronica Moceri added nine points and
Ari Fustini contributed eight points and four assists.

Jessica Glaz led RIT with 22 points. Taylor Burns scored 14 off the bench and Cori Okada had 10 points and four assists.

Okada put the Tigers up 66-60 with 2:14 to play. After a Skidmore miss, Donnelly stole the ball at midcourt and went in for the quick layup to cut it to 66-62 with 1:38 left. After another RIT turnover, Donnelly fed an open Fustini who drained a three to make it 66-65 with :46 left.

Moceri forced yet another RIT turnover that led to a pair of Donnelly free throws with :06 left and a 67-66 Skidmore lead.

The Thoroughbreds had fouls to give and did just that three straight times to work the clock down to 2.1 seconds. A deep Tiger buzzer shot went off the front of the rim for the Skidmore win.

Next up for the Thoroughbreds is a Jan. 6 home game against Union at 6 p.m.
