POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.— The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming and diving teams traveled to Vassar College for an early season Liberty League meet.

The Brewers came out on top, winning the men's meet 170-122 and the women's meet 159-125.

The men's 200 Medley Relay team of
Harrison Shockley,
Hiro Kamei,
Bailey Best and Gabe Salitan-Alvarez won a close race to start out the meet (1:41.19). Shockley had an impressive day, handily winning both the 100 (56.51) and 200 back (2:05.00).
On the women's side,
Jazmin Rendon and
Erin Donovan went 1-2 in both backstroke events, with Rendon winning the 100 (1:04.48) and Donovan taking the 200 (2:18.56).
Diving continued to be a strength for the Thoroughbreds with
Rachel Adamsky and
Kevin Brito each sweeping the women's and men's 1 and 3 meter diving events respectively.
The team demonstrated some strong early season speed, particularly with second place finishes by Salitan-Alvarez in the 200 (1:50.00) and 500 (5:07.77) and
Meredith Wagner in the 100 (1:12.49) and 200 breast (2:38.31).
