DUAL RESULTS
 
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College swimming and diving team enjoyed a successful day in the water on Saturday, as both the men and the women defeated Utica in a dual meet at the Williamson Sports Center. The women defeated the Pioneers 160-123, while the men won 170-119.
 
The women will improve to 2-3, while the men improve to 3-2. The Utica women fall to 4-4, and the Utica men drop to 4-3.
 
Claie Stetten was a big winner for the Thoroughbreds, winning four events. She started with a win in the 200-yard Medley Relay with teammates 
Erin Donovan, 
Meredith Wagner, and 
Jazmin Rendon, who won with a time of 1:59.40. In the individual events, Stetten won in the 100-yard freestyle (57.68) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:08.16), while sprinting past the competition in the 50-yard freestyle (26.44).
 
Donovan won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:06.14, while Rendon took home first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:18.29).  Wagner dominated in the breaststroke, winning both the 100-(1:12.40) and 200-yard (2:36.90) events.
 
Maddie Collins won her first collegiate event, the 200-yard butterfly, swimming in a time of 2:27.17, edging teammate 
Elizabeth Levy (2:28.03). Levy also won the 400 IM (5:04.85).
 
The Thoroughbreds were strong on the diving boards, as 
Rachel Adamsky won both the 1-meter (177.22) and 3-meter (206.70) diving events.
 
The men started out with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay and never looked back. The foursome of 
Harrison Shockley, 
Hiro Kamei, 
Bailey Best and Gabe Salitan-Alvarez swam the event in 1:42.25.
 
Shockley also picked up the victory in the 100-yard backstroke in a season-best time of 55.69, as well as a win in the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.13).
Kinser Bonner won the 100-yard butterfly (58.75) with a strong last 25, also touching first in the 200-yard butterfly (2:10.90). Kamei was first in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:26.31), while Ben Rudman won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.47).
 
Kevin Brito completed the Skidmore sweep on the boards, winning both the 3-meter (200.85) and 1-meter (248.10) diving events.
 
Skidmore will gear up for the Liberty League Championships, hosted by RIT from Dec. 2-3.
