RESULTS
CANTON, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened the season Friday evening at St. Lawrence University.

The men beat the Saints 129-72, while the women lost 117-76.

The men swept both relays, starting with a convincing win in the 200 MR (1:45.07) with Harrison Shockley, Ben Rudman,
Bailey Best and
Daryl Kwan teaming up. Shockley was also part of the 200 Free Relay that just out touched SLU's team by 0.5 second.
Carl Mellqvist,
Joey Stagliano, Shockley and Gabe Salitan-Alvarez went 1:35.48.Â

Salitan-Alvarez won the 1000 (10:53.81) and 500 Free (5:17.72), while Shockley notched a win in the 100 Back (56.96).
Hiro Kamei won both the 200 IM (2:07.84) and 100 Breast (1:04.83). FreshmanÂ
Kinser Bonner had a great come-from-behind win in the 100 Fly (58.27)

For the women,
Meredith Wagner recorded her first collegiate win in the 100 Breast (1:12.69) and finished second in the 200 IM (2:24.35) and 500 Free (5:48.99). Â
Erin Donovan won the 100 Back (1:04.48), while
Claire Stetten was third (1:06.57).

Freshmen divers
Rachel Adamsky (1-meter) and
Hannah Krall (3-meter) both won in their collegiate debuts.

Both teams had strong swims from freshmen:Â
Elizabeth Levy (third in 1000 Free 11:28.61, second in 100 Fly 1:06.65),Â
Jazmin Rendon (third in the 200 IM 2:24.76 and 100 Free 1:00.93), Mellqvist (second in the 50 Free 24.45, third in the 100 Fly 1:00.20), and Kwan (third in the 50 Free 24.53 and 100 Free 53.96).

Emily Matsuda third in 100 Breast (1:19.60), Ben Rudman second in the 200 Free (1:58.26) and 100 Breast (1:05.13),
Bailey Best second in the 100 Back (1:00.45), and Jason Hansen second in the 500 Free (5:23.31).
