CANTON, N.Y.— Skidmore senior
Nick Barra did it all in a 9-8 (9), 6-3 Liberty League sweep of St. Lawrence University on Saturday.

Barra came into the game batting .107 with just six hits in his first 49 at bats. That quickly changed, as he went off, going 6-9 with four RBI and three runs. For good measure, he picked-up the game one win in just his second appearance of the season, striking out four in a perfect 1 2/3 innings.

Skidmore (10-18, 4-12) will play the Saints (13-15, 5-12) in another pair on Sunday.

In the first game,
Mat Marino went 1-3 with a solo home run. Mike Lavita was 2-5 and
Chris Lorenz was 3-4 with a double and two RBI.

Dan Miller and
Eric Damphousse had two hits each.

The Thoroughbreds took the lead in the ninth when Barra hammered a one-out double to left center and then beat the throw to the plate on a Gilbert single.

In the second game, Skidmore extended a 3-2 lead with three runs in the seventh and held on for the 6-3 final. Barra was 4-4 with a double and two RBI. Lavita went 2-3 with a run and RBI and
Josh Brown was 2-4 with an RBI. Damphousse went 2-3 with an RBI and
Steven Gilbert was 2-3.

Andrew Bannon improved to 3-2 with the complete game win. He allowed three runs on eight hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
