The Thoroughbreds came out on top in both meetings between the teams this season in two closely contested games, with Skidmore's two wins have come by a total of five points.

SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS (16-10) Â
Skidmore advanced to its second Liberty League championship game in program history with a 65-57 win over Clarkson in the semifinal. The Thoroughbreds outscored the Golden Knights 16-8 over the final six minutes of play to secure the win. Senior guard
Molly McLaughlin tied a season-high with 18 points and
Angela Botiba had a game-high 20 points and 14 rebounds, recording her 13th double-double of the season. Freshman guard
Kelly Donnelly also added a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards. Skidmore owned a 60-41 advantage in rebounds for the game.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS (20-6)Â
Freshman guard Kaelyn Kohlasch tallied a career-high 24 points and senior forward Kara McDuffee posted her first 20-20 game, propelling the Saints to a 74-65 win over Union in the semifinals. Kohlasch finished 8 of 12 from the field and 6 of 10 from 3-point range, also adding six assists and three steals.

This will be the ninth Liberty League championship game for St. Lawrence and its fourth in as many years. The Saints have posted a 4-4 record in the previous eight finals. St. Lawrence 12-2 over their last 14 games with both losses coming against Skidmore. St. Lawrence leads the league in 3-point field goal percentage (30.9%), 3-pointers per game (7.0), assists per game (15.3) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.1).

Donnelly, Botiba and
Amber Holgate scored 15 points each in the first matchup between the teams this season. Donnelly tallied all of her 15 points in the second half and overtime, also adding 15 rebounds for the contest. Skidmore forced St. Lawrence into one of its worst shooting nights of the season, as the Saints finished 23 for 76 (30.3%) from the field, including 7 for 37 (18.9%) from beyond the arc.

McDuffee had game-high 25 points on 8 of 14 shooting from the field, also adding a game-high 16 rebounds. Cara Waterson had 14 points and seven boards off the bench.

Botiba produced a game-high 19 points to go along with eight rebounds, McLaughlin had 11 points, four assists and four boards and Donnelly added eight points and 13 rebounds in Skidmore's 64-61 win. Again the Thoroughbreds defensive effort proved to be the difference, as the Saints shot just 34% from the floor and 7 for 28 from beyond the arc. Skidmore also held McDuffee to a season-low five points.

Jenny Scudder had a team-high 12 points for St. Lawrence, while Allison Cady contributed 11 points, six assists and six rebounds.
