Women's basketball set to host Liberty League leader St. Lawrence

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's basketball team will look to stay in the hunt for the Liberty League regular season title when it hosts league-leader St. Lawrence on Tuesday night.

 SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS (13-7, 9-2 Liberty League): Skidmore shot 46.2% from the field, including a season-high 55.6% (10-18) from beyond the arc in a 73-60 win at William Smith on Friday…The Thoroughbreds suffered a heartbreaking 58-56 loss at RIT on Saturday…Junior guard Lindsey Davis '16 tallied a team-high 17 points against the Herons, going 5 for 8 from deep…Senior guard Molly McLaughlin tallied 10 points and added five assists and three steals…Senior forward Angela Botiba became the program's 13th 1,000-point scorer with a 12 point effort against RIT…Amber Holgate '16 and Migle Vilunaite contributed 11 and 10 points off the bench, respectively, against the Tigers.
 
TEAM STATISTICS: The Thoroughbreds are 6-2 at home…Skidmore is 9-0 when shooting 40% or better…The Thoroughbreds have held their last three opponents to 60 points or fewer…Skidmore is averaging 67.8 points per game against conference opponents…The Thoroughbreds have been dominant at the defensive end of the floor, limiting their opponents to 32.5% shooting, including 24.1% from 3-point range.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS (17-4, 12-1 Liberty League): St. Lawrence extended its winning streak to nine with wins against Bard and Vassar over the weekend…Freshman forward Jenny Scudder had a career-high 15 points to go along with five rebounds off the bench against Bard…Senior guard Kara McDuffee had a 13 points and six rebounds…McDuffee added a double-double against the Brewers with 11 points and 10 boards…Scudder tallied 12 points and junior guard Lauren Quattrochi had a team-high 14 points.
 
TEAM STATISTICS: St. Lawrence has a conference-best 1.08 assist-to-turnover ratio…The Saints lead the league in 3-pointers per game (6.7) and rank second in 3-point field goal percentage (31.8%)…The Saints are 8-2 on the road…St. Lawrence is 11-0 when shooting 40% from the field or better…The Saints are 16-0 when scoring more than 60 points and 1-4 when scoring fewer than 60.
