SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's and women's basketball teams open defense of their league titles at home Jan. 2 against Bard and Jan. 3 against William Smith and Hobart.

The women's games start at 2 p.m., while the men's contests tip at 4 p.m.

The 5-3 women will be playing for the first time since a 63-60 win over Middlebury College on Dec. 5.

Kelly Donnelly leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 15.6 points and 10.9 boards per game. She also has a team-high 20 steals.
Amber Holgate is adding 10.0 points per game.

Bard (5-4) is led by Tytravia Riley (19.4 ppg, 18.2 rpg) and Bianka Bell (17.3 ppg). William Smith (2-6) has three players scoring in double figures, with Melanie Patterson on top with 11.9.

The 5-3 men are looking to bounce back from a pair of tough losses earlier this week in the D3hoops.com Classic played in Las Vegas. Erik Sanders (17.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg) and Edvinas Rupkus (15.5 ppg) continue to lead the team in scoring.

Bard (3-6) has lost four straight. Emmanuel Rainey (12.8 ppg) and DeVahnte Mosley (11.9) lead the Raptors in scoring. Hobart (4-4) is led by Jamal Lucas (17.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg) and Colin Dougherty (12.8 ppg).
