ResultsSARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming diving teams hosted Liberty League rival Vassar, Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Sports Center.

The men's team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 155-131, while the women's team was defeated 171-98.

A trio of freshmen led the men's team.
Harrison Shockley won the 100 (57.48) and 200-yard (2:06.80) backstroke, reigning Liberty League Rookie of the Week
Hiro Kamei touched first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.54) and
Teague Costello took first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.21). Costello also combined with
Charlie Bullis,
Joey Stagliano and
Gabriel Salitan-Alvarez for first in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:26.56).

Kevin Brito posted another strong day on the boards, winning the 1-meter (229.20) and 3-meter diving events (226.35) for the second consecutive meet, while freshman
Owen Kula showed well in the 1000-yard freestyle, the 200-yard butterfly and the 500-yard freestyle.

On the women's side, senior
Yookee Roh contributed a pair of victories, winning the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.68) and the 100-yard freestyle (58.50).
Erin Donovan placed first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:18.70), finishing just ahead of teammate
Claire Stetten, who touched in third with a lifetime best performance.

Stetten also added a second-place performance in the 100-yard butterfly and
Kaleigh Kessler finished second in the 200-yard butterfly.

"Overall our team swam an extremely competitive meet against the Vassar Brewers today," said Skidmore head coach
Jill Belding Greenleaf. "Despite the scores at the end of the meet, our team competed with intensity and toughness. Those traits will definitely serve us well as the season continues on."

Skidmore hosts The College of Saint Rose Saturday, Nov. 14 for a 1 p.m. meet.
