SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's basketball team dominated from start to finish in a 94-69 non-league win against SUNY Plattsburgh for its third straight victory, Tuesday night at the Williamson Sports Center.

The Thoroughbreds improve to 3-1, while the Cardinals go to 1-1.

Senior guard
Isaac Carp led four Skidmore players in double figures with a career-high 19 points to go along with five rebounds. Freshman guard
Edvinas Rupkus also had a career-day, scoring 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting and adding five rebounds,
Erik Sanders contributed 16 points, seven boards and three assists and
Royce Paris had 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Kyle Richardson had a game-high 36 points and 15 rebounds for the Cardinals, finishing 8-for-13 from the field and 19-for-24 from the free throw line. Xavier Thomas chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Skidmore took control early, pulling out to a 26-10 lead in the first half behind six points from
Aldin Medunjanin and five from from Rupuks.

Plattsburgh cut its deficit to 10 after baskets from Jonathan Patron and Thomas, but the Thoroughbreds answered back, opening their biggest lead of the half with 3:01 remaining at 44-26 following a
Martin Bedulskij 3-pointer and a Rupkus fastbreak layup.
Skidmore shot 15-for-30 from the floor in the stanza, taking a 46-34 lead into the half. Richardson, Thomas and Patron kept the Cardinals in the game, combining for 34 of Plattsburgh's 35 first-half points.

The Cardinals battled back at the start of the second half, climbing within seven with an 8-0 surge, but Rupkus ended the charge with a 3-pointer, sparking a 21-6 Skidmore run to make it 73-51.

The Thoroughbreds proved to be too much down the stretch, as Plattsburgh could not come closer than 14 over the final 9:08.

Skidmore shot 50% (29-58) from the field for the game, including 42.3% (11-26) from beyond the arc, while Plattsburgh was 16-for-54 (29.6%) from the field and 4-for-19 (21.1%) from 3-point range. The Cardinals shot 53 free throws to the Thoroughbreds 34, going 33-for-53.
"Good win tonight against a great program," said Skidmore head coach
Joe Burke. "Coach Curle does such a good job year in and year out and they have some talented players. We needed contributions from a lot of guys and I thought our bench gave us the spark we needed.

"We have really challenged ourselves so far in the non-conference and I think we continue to improve each day. We will use the Thanksgiving break to get some rest and get healthy."
Skidmore enjoys a short break for the holiday before going on the road to take on the College of New Jersey Tuesday, Dec. 1.
