The Thoroughbreds bounced back from a season-opening loss against New Paltz with a hard-fought 53-50 win over Wellesley on Saturday. Sophomore guard
Kelly Donnelly had a game-high 18 points to go along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Amber Holgate contributed 12 points and six rebounds and sophomore guard
Veronica Moceri had a career-high 12 points, including two crucial 3-pointers late in the second half.

SCOUTING HARTWICK
Hartwick dropped its season opener against Union, 67-28. The Hawks scored just nine points in the second half, going 4-for-27 from the field and 0-for-10 from 3-point range. Senior forward Taylor Vonasek had a game-high eight rebounds and tied for the team high with eight points. Freshman guard Carly Johnson added eight points off the bench.
