SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming and diving teams open the 2015-2016 season this weekend at home with meets against St. Lawrence and Potsdam.
The Thoroughbred men return eight swimmers from last year's squad, including
Gabriel Salitan-Alvarez,
Mario Hyman and
Charlie Bullis, who were all part of the 200, 400 and 800-yard freestyle relay teams that placed ninth at the UNYSCSA Championships last season.
The women's team, which also returns eight swimmers, will be led by senior
Yookee Roh and junior
Erin Donovan and. Roh was part of the 400-yard medley relay team that finished 10th at the UNYSCSA Championships. Roy also placed 10th in the 400-yard individual medley, 14
th in the 100-yard backstroke and 15
th in the 200-yard individual medley at the Liberty League Championships. Donovan was also part of the 400-yard medley relay team and finished 12th in the 100-yard backstroke and 12
th in the 200-yard backstroke at the UNYSCSA Championships.
Skidmore hosts the Saints at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 before taking on Potsdam at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31.
