Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TROY, N.Y.—The Skidmore College softball team finally returned to action Tuesday at Sage College. The Thoroughbreds lost twice, 8-4 and 4-3.
 
Skidmore falls to 2-8, while the Gators are 9-7.
 
In the first game, Sage scored five runs in the sixth to break the game open. Cassie Fishkin was 2-3 and Lauren Gorstein went 1-4 with two RBI. Lauren Fortunato took the loss, while Lila Rosenfeld had two solid innings of relief, allowing one unearned run on two hits.
 
The second game was called because of darkness after six innings. Fishkin was 1-3 with a two run home run.  She also pitched five innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits.
 
Skidmore is will open its home schedule on Wednesday at 3:30 vs. Castleton State.
