Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The Skidmore College women's basketball team cruised to a 98-27 non-conference win over Green Mountain, Wednesday night at the Williamson Center.
The Thoroughbreds move to 2-4, while the Eagles go to 0-4.
Sophomore forward
Migle Vilunaite scored a career-high 19 points, going 9 for 10 from the field including a perfect 7 for 7 in the second half. Freshman guard
Kelly Donnelly added 16 points and four steals,
Amber Holgate chipped in with 10 points and a career-best seven steals, Lindsay Davis had 11 points and five rebounds and
Catie Opfer produced nine points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
The Thoroughbreds got hot early, going 17 for 36 in the first half to take a 45-12 lead into the break. Donnelly paced Skidmore, scoring 12 points in the half on 5 of 8 shooting.
The Thoroughbreds offensive output continued in the second half, as they went 20 for 38, pulling away for the 98-27 win.
Allison Wadsworth led the Eagles with 15 points to go along with three rebounds and Keelin Banks had 11 points and six boards.
Skidmore shot a season high 50.0% (37 for 74) from the field, while Green Mountain was 6 for 33 (18.2%). The Thoroughbreds had 51 points off of 34 Eagles turnovers and the Skidmore bench outscored that of Green Mountain 56-2.
The Thoroughbreds compete at the San Juan Shootout in San Juan, Puerto Rico Dec. 28-29, taking on Colby Sawyer and Marietta.
