The Skidmore men's and women's teams were both topped in the opening meet of the season at St. Lawrence. The men rebounded with a 117-07 win over Potsdam, while the women swam to a 114-114 tie.

Nick Sauerbrunn picked up three individual wins against the Bears, touching first in the 1000 free, 500 free and 100 breast.
Gabriel Salitan-Alvarez and
Ramzy Kahhale added a win each in the 200 free and the 100 fly, respectively.

Yookee Roh took home first in the 200 IM in both meets.

The Vassar men's and women's teams were dominant in their season-opening meet against Bard, while both teams were beat by NYU on Saturday. Senior diver Kelly Wilkinson set a school record in the 1-meter diving event against Bard with a combined score of 402.65.

Skidmore takes on VassarThe Skidmore men's team suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the last meet between the two teams, falling 148-144, with the meet coming down to the 400 free relay. The women's team was beat 164-130, but the team was forced to concede 36 points for not having any female divers available to compete.Â

UP NEXT: The Thoroughbreds host their first home meets of the season next weekend, taking on Oneonta at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 and facing St. Rose at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.
