Â
Hobart freshman Nick Dosky had some of the Statesmen's best scoring chances in the second half. In the 73rd minute, Dosky collected a pass  and carried the ball deep into the box, before firing a shot on goal. Kisselbach, got his hands on the ball, but couldn't hang on and it bounced behind him towards the goal, however Thoroughbred defender
Tesfaye Paine was there to clear the ball before it could pass over the goal line. Just under three minutes later, Dosky broke through the Skidmore defense for a one-on-one with the keeper, but his shot went inches wide of the far left post.
Â
Skidmore's best scoring chance in the second half came with just over 17 minutes remaining. Senior forward
Adam Beek drilled a shot on goal from right out in front, but Serafine was there to punch it away and keep things scoreless.
Â
Both teams came close to finding the game-winning goal in overtime. With 3:30 remaining, Kyle Wiatrowski broke through the Skidmore back line and carried the ball into the box, but Kisselbach was quick off his line, diving onto the ball to deny the scoring chance. Skidmore nearly found the winner with 2:20 remaining, but
Brock Bakewell's strike was turned aside by Serafine.
