Box Score GENEVA, N.Y.— The Skidmore College women's lacrosse team lost its season final, 13-8 in a Liberty League contest Saturday at William Smith College.
Skidmore finishes the season at 3-13 and 2-7 in Liberty League play. William Smith finished the regular season with a 10-6 overall record and a 7-2 mark in the Liberty League.
Robin Fetterolf led the Thoroughbreds with three goals and three ground balls.
Spencer Morgan added a goal and won a team-high four draws.
Shelby Witheford played all 60 minutes in goal and stopped seven shots.

Brittney Dioneda tied the game at one for the Thoroughbreds. William Smith then put together a three-goal run to take a 4-1 lead. Morgan found the back, followed by a goal by Fetterolf to get Skidmore within one with 8:41 left in the first half. With 59 seconds left on the clock, Kathleen Ragan sent home a shot to give the Herons a 5-3 lead at the break.

Lexi Melville, who chipped in the Thoroughbreds' fourth goal. Just under two minutes later, Liz Seidel scored her first goal of the season on a diving shot to make it 9-4.
Emma Harris logged an unassisted tally for Skidmore 30 seconds later, but William Smith put together another 3-0 run to take a 12-5 lead. Unassisted tallies by Marissa Potter and Connolly were followed by another Potter goal to put the Herons up by seven. Skidmore answered with a 3-0 run of its own on two goals by Fetterolf and an unassisted tally by
Caroline Bowne to make it 12-8 with 5:57 remaining. Connolly chipped in the final goal of the game with 38 seconds left on the clock.
The Herons had a 20-16 advantage in shots, a 14-11 edge in ground balls and a 13-10 lead in draws.
