Skidmore rolls over Southwestern

Box Score Georgetown, Texas—The Skidmore College men's lacrosse team scored five straight goals in the final 4:08 of the first quarter on the way to a 14-5 road win over Southwestern University.

The Thoroughbreds improve to 2-3, while Southwestern drops to 4-3.

Bryan Connolly had two goals and four assists to lead Skidmore. Josh Berger contributed four goals and an assist. JP Sullivan added two goals and two assists, while Mike Perlow scored four goals.

With the game tied 1-1 in the first quarter, the Thoroughbreds scored five unanswered goals to break the game open with a 6-1 lead. Berger scored three times during the run.

After a scoreless second quarter, Skidmore added three goals in the third quarter and five in the fourth for the 14-5 win.

The Thoroughbreds had three goalies combine for 10 saves, with Matt Diaco earning the win.
Skidmore is at Haverford on March 16.
