Saratoga Springs, N.Y.--The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted Hamilton College, Friday night at the Williamson Sports Center.
The Continentals won the men's meet 166-128 and the the women's meet 186-114
The Skidmore women were led by strong relay performances, winning both the 400 Medley and 400 Free Relays to open and close the meet. Yookee Roh, Carrie Koch, Sarah Shaw and Catherine King combined to touch the wall first in the medley (4:19.08), while Katie Kuklewicz, Koch, Kate Lambos and King won the free relay (3:52.16).
Koch (11:11.56) and Emily Przysinda (11:26.73) went 1-2 in the 1000 Free, while King won the 50 Free (25.23). King also finished second in the 100 Free (55.66) and Koch was runner-up in the 200 Breast (2:41.03)
Kristen Stearns improved her own college record in the 1-Meter 6-Dive event, scoring 242.10 for a second place finish. Katherine Kelloway finished second in the 50 Back (31.05), while fellow junior Sarah Shaw was second in the 200 Fly (2:27.00). Yookee Roh was second in both the 200 Back (2:18.72) and 50 Fly (29.29).
The men's 400 Medley Relay of
Jesse Adler,
Robert Fulton,
Andrew Becker and
Tim Brodsky finished second (3:49.53), while the team of
Lyle Stephenson, Nick Sauerbrunnm,
Taylor Best and
Greg Amoresano touched third (3:58.06).
Adler won the 50 Back (26.52), while Stephenson placed second (27.77). Adler also won the 200 Back (2:03.54).
Mario Hyman swam strong race to win the 100 Free (50.18) and was third in the 200 Free (1:50.52).
Tim Brodsky was second in 50 Free (23.26), while
Logan Jones touched second in the 50 Fly (25.98).
Peter Quattromani touched second in 1000 Free (11:05.65) while Sauerbrunn was second in the 200 Breast (2:30.08).
Jacob Nathan won both the 1 Meter (252.75) and 3 Meter diving events (268.65).
The women are back in action Saturday at 1p.m., hosting the Skidmore Sprint Invitational.
