Box Score Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College women's basketball team opened its Liberty League schedule with a 59-36 win over Bard College, Friday night at the Williamson Sports Center.
 
The Thoroughbreds improve to 3-7 and 1-0. Bard falls to 6-4 and 0-1.
 
Skidmore used its depth and a balanced offense for the win. The Thoroughbreds had a 35-6 advantage in bench scoring.

Amber Holgate led Skidmore in scoring with 10 points off the bench. Skylar Caligaris had nine points and Dani DeGregory had eight points and six assists.
 
Tytravia Riley led the Raptors with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
 
The first 10 minutes of the game featured four lead changes, but the Thoroughbreds took the lead for good, 18-15,  on a Caligaris three pointer with 9:30 to play.   Skidmore extended the lead to seven at the break, 28-21 and continued to pull away in the second half on the way to the 23-point win.
 
The Thoroughbreds scored 21 points off 25 Raptor turnovers.
 
Skidmore returns to league action at home Saturday at 2 p.m. against William Smith College.
