Skidmore back in win column with 61-34 victory

Box Score Annandale-on-Hudson , N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's basketball team put together a 21-1 run over eight minutes that bridged the first and second halves en route to a 61-34 Liberty League victory over Bard College on Saturday afternoon.
 
Skidmore, 12-7 overall and 5-5 in the Liberty League, led 23-14 with just over four minutes left in the first half when the run began. The Thoroughbreds led 35-14 at the break and never looked back.
 
Skidmore was led  by senior Megan Gaugler (Amsterdam, NY), who had 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Sophomore Jordyn Wartts (St. Louis, MO) added 10 points, and senior Christina Gargiso (Staten Island, NY) contributed nine points and eight rebounds.
 
Bard (1-19, 0-11) got 12 points and four rebounds from sophomore Victoria Fleisher (Brooklyn, NY) and 10 points and six rebounds from freshman Liz Freud (Dover, DE).

The Thoroughbreds host Clarkson University on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
