Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming & diving teams hosted a pair of Division II schools, St. Rose and Bridgeport, Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Sports Center.
The women fell 112-104 against Bridgeport and 127-105 against St. Rose, while the men lost 124-89 to the Purple Knights and 158.5-79.5 against the Golden Knights.
On the men's side, diver
Jacob Nathan won the 1-meter (213.53) and the 3-meter (253.63).
Jesse Adler and
Peter Quattromani each had second place finishes with Adler taking second in the 200 Back (2:06.95) and Quattromani placing second in the 1650 Free (18:19.70).
Nick Sauerbrunn finished third in the 500 Free (5:09.65) and
Mario Hyman took third in the 100 free (51.84).
For the women, Carrie Koch was second in the 200 Free (2:02.87) and third in the 500 Free (5:35.43). Catherine King had a pair of second place finishes in the 50 Free (25.36) and 100 Free (55.17), while Yookee Roh took second in the 200 Back (2:16.06) and Emily Przysinda was second in the 1650 Free (19:17.90) edging out teammate Kate Lambos (19:17.95). Kristen Stearns took second in the 1-meter dive (177.30) and Katie Kuklewicz was third in the 200 Fly (2:34.00). In the 400 Free relay, the team of Roh, Koch, Lambos and King placed second (3:52.11).
The Thoroughbreds return to the pool on Saturday when they host Utica College at 1 p.m.
