Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - Friday night is a full night of action as the Skidmore College men's and women's basketball teams will host Bard and the ice hockey team will host Williams.
Women's basketball will kick off the action with a 6 p.m. tip in the Williamson Sports Center, followed by the men's game at 8 p.m. and hockey is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at the Saratoga City Rink.
Both basketball teams are off to 8-2 over and 2-0 league starts and will take on Liberty League newcomer Bard. The women are led by senior
Megan Gaugler, who is averaging 15.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
Christina Gargiso ranks second on the team in both categories with 10.8 ppg and 5.9 rpg.
On the men's side, Brian Lowry leads the team with 14.1 points per game and Gerard O'Shea currently leads the league with 5.7 assists per game and ranks third nationally with a 5.2 assist to turnover ratio.
On the ice, the Thoroughbreds are currently 4-9-1 and will face #11 Williams. Sophomore Tony Giacin leads the team in scoring with nine goals and five assists for 14 points. Tim Colvin, Alex Essaris and Vlad Gavrik are tied for second on the team with 10 points apiece.
