Clinton, N.Y.-- Megan Gaugler hit a game-winning three-pointer to lead the Skidmore College women's basketball team to a 63-61 Liberty League road win over Hamilton College, Saturday.

The Thoroughbreds are 2-1 in Liberty play and 6-7 overall. The Continentals drop to 0-3 and 5-5.

Skidmore opened the first half with a 9-5 run that included a 3-pointer by Michela Ottati. The Thoroughbreds led the whole 20 minutes going 9-10 at the line. The Continentals  were down 33-23 at 1:57, but managed to cut the deficit to five points before the end of the half.

Skidmore led for the first 11 minutes of the second half, stretching its lead to as many as eight points. But the Continentals came back in the 10th minute with a 3-pointer by Harlem to lead the game 46-45. Harlem hit another 3-pointer at 9:36 to make the score 49-47. Hamilton led the last 9:13 of the game. The Continentals had Skidmore in a 6-point deficit at 1:33, but at the 13 second mark the Thoroughbreds' Gaugler  made a 3-pointer to win the game.

Skidmore was  led in scoring by Gaugler, who recorded 14 points and was credited with four assists. Ottati and Jessie Kavana  added 11 points apiece. Ismatu Alison-Konteh had eight rebounds and chipped in eight points for the Thoroughbreds.
