Live Stats for Liberty League basketball openers

Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-- It's time to get down to business for the Skidmore College men's and women's basketball teams as the Thoroughbreds host Union College, Tuesday night in the Liberty League openers for both teams.

The Skidmore women enter conference play with a 4-6 record. Megan Gaugler leads the team in scoring with 10.9 points per game. Christina Gargiso is next with 9.5 points, while Michela Ottati is adding 8.5 points. Union is 5-3 with a four-game win streak. Lauren McCormick leads the Dutchwomen with 13.9 points per game.

On the men's side, the 6-4 Thoroughbreds look to snap a two-game losing streak. Melvis Langyintuo leads four Skidmore players in double figures with 12.9 points per game. Jeff Altimar (12.0), Terron Victoria (11.2), and Gerard O'Shea (10.7) round out the team's top scorers. Union is 8-3 after a 64-59 loss at Columbia. Justin Gallo is among the league scoring leaders with 19.0 points per game.

After Tuesday's games, the teams are on the road for four straight league games.
