Cobleskill, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College softball team extended its win streak to four games with a 6-0, 20-1 sweep at SUNY Cobleskill on Friday.
The Thoroughbreds are 12-8, while the Tigers fall to 1-15.
In the first game, sophomore pitcher
Sam Crose continued her dominance on the mound with a complete-game two-hit shutout. Crose was near perfect with no walks and nine strikeouts to improve to 9-5, while lowering her ERA to 1.02.
Skidmore scored six runs on fives and four Cobleskill errors.
Lauren Dinsdale was 2-3 with a two-run double.
Carol Brown had a two-run triple.
In the second game, the Thoroughbreds took advantage of eight Cobleskill errors and 11 walks to score 20 runs on only nine hits.
Julia Schwartz was 2-4 with a run and two RBI.
Cora Crafts was 2-5 with two runs and an RBI and
Michelle Anderson went 2-2 with two runs and an RBI. Abby Furhman earned her first win, allowing one unearned run on two hits and five strikeouts in four innings.
Molly Canavan threw a scoreless relief inning.
Skidmore will host New York City Tech on Saturday at 1 p.m.
