Hartford, Conn. – The sixth ranked Trinity College Bantams posted an 18-9 win over the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds in women's lacrosse action Sunday on Sheppard Field.

The Bantams  improve to 5-0 overall, while the Thoroughbreds fall to 3-2 on the season.

Trinity grabbed a quick 2-0 lead behind goals from sophomore midfielder Liz Bruno (Andover, Mass.) and senior attacker Kristin Phelps (Sudbury, Mass.). Skidmore would answer with three straight goals over a five-minute stretch before Trinity would go on a 9-0 run to put the Thoroughbreds in a deep hole, one they would be unable to recover from.

Lauren McCarthy (Ipswitch, Mass.) tallied three scores for Skidmore, while Lauren Madden added two goals. Trinity sophomore goalkeeper Gina Dinallo (West Hartford, Conn.) made three stops in net for the Bantams while Skidmore sophomore Rachel Klein (Far Hills, N.J.) made eight saves for the Thoroughbreds.

Skidmore will host Smith College on March 31 at 7 p.m.
