Kinsey hit a three-pointer at the 18:12 mark of the second half to give Skidmore a three point lead and they wouldn't trail for the remainder of the game. The Engineers cut the lead to one on a layup by Amanda Brophy, but the Thoroughbreds answered back with a 10-2 run to push their lead to nine points on a pair of free throws from Kelly Bischoff (Pensacola, Fla.) with 4:42 remaining. Skidmore didn't allow RPI to get closer than three points for the rest of the game as they went 7-for-10 from the free throw line over the last 2:11 to seal the six-point victory.
