Thoroughbreds take on St. Rose

Results

Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College swimming and diving teams competed at home for the first time this season, taking on the College of St. Rose. The Thoroughbred men lost 184-96, while the women dropped a 171-106 decision.

Sarah Shaw had strong finishes for the women, taking second in the 200 backstroke and 200 butterfly, and adding a third in the 400 IM. Kelsey Carson was second in the 500 freestyle.

Divers Kristen Stearns and Krista Pelton went 1-2 in the 1 and 3 meter diving events.

On the men's side, Stephen Lento broke his own 1000 record in 10:31.49. Jesse Adler was second in the 200 free (1:54.67) and 200 back (2:09:09).

Skidmore will return to the pool Nov. 20 at home against Utica College.
