Potsdam, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming and diving teams continued their North Country trip on Saturday at Potsdam. The Thoroughbred men lost to the Bears 130-104, while the women lost 138-84.
On the men's side,
Jesse Adler was a double winner, taking the 200 IM in 2:08.56 and the 100 backstroke in 58.48.
Stephen Lento lead from start to finish to win the 1000 freestyle and in 10:49.21 and was narrowly beat in the 100 free in 51.88. Also winning was the 200 free relay team of
Taylor Best,
Greg Amoresano,
Kyle Bessa-McManus,
Connor Frame. Diver
Rob Zilinyi won the 1 meter and finished second in the 3 meter.
For the women,
Carrie Koch won the 200 free in 2:05.62 with a surge in the last 50 yards to touch out her opponent.
Kristen Stearns and
Krista Pelton went 1-2 in the 1 and 3 meter diving events.
The teams are at Vassar on Nov. 6.
