Oneonta, N.Y.--The SUNY Oneonta men and women's swimming & diving teams swept Skidmore College on Monday. Oneonta won by the scores of 137-96 on the women's side and 133-96 on the men's side.
The Skidmore (2-4) women were led by senior Sonia Segal-Smith, who won the 100 (57.09), 200 (2:03.50) and 500-yard freestyle (5:40.24) events. They were all season best times. Also for the women, Kelsey Carson won the 200 IM (2:24.58) and was second in the 100 Fly (1:05.16). Alena Chubet finished second in the 100 Back (1:07.23)
The Skidmore (1-5) men had one double winner today as senior John Tyler Norton won the 100 freestyle (51.58) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:076.05). Tom Saglimbeni won the 100 Fly (58.44) and finished second in 50 Free (23. 98). Jesse Adler was second in both 200 Free (1:58.05) and 100 Back (59.02), both season bests. Ben Forman took third in the 1000 Free in a lifetime best time of 11:48.11.
In diving, Doug Pilawa won voluntaries on 1 Meter with a score of 163.20 and finished second in the optional with 230.45. Kristen Stearns finished second in the voluntaries (129.55) and third in the optionals with 143.00
