Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – Sophomore
Stephen Lento (Cincinnati, Ohio) broke another Skidmore College record in the 200 individual medley, but both the men and women's teams were downed by RPI in a meet Saturday with scores of 150-73 in men's competition and 142-91 in women's competition.
Lento shattered the record with a time of 2:06.73 to finish in third place in the 200 IM. Freshman diver
Doug Pilawa (Chesterland, Ohio) continued his success on the diving board, with winning scores of 273.00 in 3 meter diving and an NCAA qualifying score of 273.75 in one meter diving.
Junior
John Tyler Norton (Mt. Kisco, N.Y.) had a strong finish in the 200 freestyle to finish second with a time of 1:58.22, and placed first in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.74). Junior
Tom Saglimbeni (East Hampton, N.Y.) posted a time of 24.02 to finish second in the 50 freestyle and placed third in the 100 butterfly (59.26).
For the women, senior
Kristen Zebrowski posted a personal-best time of 11:10.38 to win the 1000 freestyle while coming in second place in the 100 butterfly with a 1:05.52 finish.
Senior
Jen Piepenbrink (Wenham, Mass.) picked up first place points in the 500 freestyle with a season-best time of 5:33.97 and finished a close second in the 50 freestyle in 26.87.
Junior
Sonia Segal-Smith (Needham, Mass.) notched a victory in the 200 freestyle (2:03.31) and finished second in the 100 freestyle (56.71). Sophomore
Kelsey Carson (Stamford, Conn.) came on strong in the last 100 yards to clinch second in the 500 freestyle (5:35.54) to finish behind Piepenbrink.
The team of Zebrowski, Piepenbrink,
Elaine Burns (Worcester, Mass.) and
Chelsea Halsor (Dallas, Pa.) combined to win the 200 yard freestyle relay in 1:47.27.
