CLINTON, N.Y. -- Sydney Fasulo scored 24 points and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds to lead Hamilton College to a 52-49 Liberty League win against visiting Skidmore College in a women's basketball game played at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Jan. 24.

The double-double is the 15th of Fasulo's career. She was 9-for-13 from the field and 6-for-9 at the free-throw line. Sixteen of her 24 points were scored in the second half.

Dana Leonard '10 came off the bench to pace Skidmore with 13 points. Kellye Caufield '09 added 11 points and seven rebounds. Sharlyn Harper '10 contributed nine points, five assists and two blocked shots.

There were five ties and nine lead changes in the second half alone. Hamilton (9-6 overall, 2-3 Liberty) trailed 49-48 when Kane missed a jumper with 1:11 left. However, Fasulo secured the offensive rebound and made the layup for a 50-49 lead with 1:08 remaining.

The Thoroughbreds (5-11, 2-3) came back and missed a three-pointer, but Harper pulled down the offensive rebound. Skidmore then was off on a jumper and Madelyn McGuinnis grabbed the defensive rebound for the Continentals. Schrader, who entered the game shooting 78 percent from the line, was fouled with 20 seconds left and drained both free throws. The Thoroughbreds missed two free throws and a jumper in the final five seconds.
