Swimming and diving falls to St. Rose

, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's and women's diving team fell to the College of St. Rose Friday evening at the Sports and Recreation Center. The women's fell 158-118, while the men were defeated 128-126.
 
Freshman diver Doug Pilawa (Chesterland, Ohio) once again swept the men's diving events, winning with scores of 268.05 in 3 meter diving and 245.02 in 1 meter diving. 
 
Junior John Tyler Norton (Mt. Kisco, N.Y.) brought home wins in the 50 freestyle (23.93) and the 200 breaststroke (2:27.52), while sophomore Stephen Lento (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished first in the 200 freestyle, coming in with a time of 1:54.56.
 
Junior Sonia Segal-Smith (Needham, Mass.) led the women, out-touching St. Rose's Alicia Robinson by .07 for a first place time of 26.68. 
 
Senior diver Caitlin Seibold (Barrington Hills, Ill.) won the 1 meter diving event with a final score of 199.58.
 
The men and women face SUNY Oneonta Monday, Jan. 19 in a home meet starting at 6 p.m.
