Union College women's lacrosse team to a 21-10 Liberty League win over Skidmore College, Friday night at Wachenheim Field.
Skidmore falls to 2-12 overall and 0-7 in Liberty play, while Union improves to 9-2 and 6-1.
The Dutchwomen built a 13-6 halftime lead and never looked back on the way to the win. Charette had three first half goals and scored the twice in the first two minutes of the second.
Thoroughbred freshman Kimberly Segalas (Stamford, Conn.) scored three goals and had an assist, while Amber Kinsey (Troy, N.Y.) and Claire Molloy (Baltimore, Md.) had two goals each. Kinsey also had a team-high four ground balls.
Union's Caitlin Cuozzo (Norfolk, Mass.) and Emily Bryson (Charlestown, Mass.) had three goals each. Cuozzo recorded five draw controls.
The Dutchwomen held a 38-18 shot advantage. Courtney DeStefano (Rehoboth, Mass.) had 11 saves for Skidmore, while Melissa McDonald (Lynnfield, Mass.) stopped 10 shots for Union.
The Thoroughbreds are at Middlebury on April 22.
