"We are beyond excited to welcome Pete back to the Capital Region and in particular Skidmore College, said Gail Cummings-Danson, Skidmore athletics director and assistant vice president for student affairs. "His work in the areas of facilities, game day operations, and staff supervision will no doubt be a benefit to our student-athletes and the students employed by our department. We look forward to the start of Pete's tenure as a Thoroughbred."

"I would like to thank Gail Cummings-Danson and the entire search committee for selecting me to be the next assistant athletic director at Skidmore College," Fisher said. "It was clear during my time on campus that this is a special place filled with talented individuals."

While at NYU, Fisher coordinated assigned facilities and managed operations and staff in association with them. Additionally, he helped develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure safe use. In addition, he was responsible for scheduling and preparing University spaces for use by varsity athletics, club sports, intramurals.

In a game day role at NYU, Fisher served as the primary point of contact for visiting teams and officials while serving as the on-site manager for hosted competitions and practices.

"Having Pete join our staff as the assistant director of athletics gives us the opportunity to enhance our game day operations in a way that will be helpful to our coaching staff and improve the game day experience for our fans and supporters," Cummings-Danson said. "He stood out in a pool of great candidates, and we believe that his fresh approach and vision will serve our athletic programs and department well."

"I look forward to continuing the great traditions at Skidmore, while continuing to build towards a successful future for our student-athletes and the entire Skidmore community," Fisher said.

Fisher graduated with a degree in sport management from SUNY Cortland and later earned a master's degree in the same discipline from Adelphi where he simultaneously served as a graduate assistant for intramural sports and special events.
