LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Skidmore College volleyball team was honored with the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award on Thursday.
 
Teams must have achieved a minimum 3.30 team GPA over the past academic year for the honor. In total, 1,432 teams were honored across collegiate and high school volleyball nationwide.
 
"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."
 
Skidmore teams have won the Team Academic Award 19 times, and four years in a row, since the program was established in 1993.
