POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Skidmore College women's tennis team fell 7-0 on the road to No. 51 Vassar on Saturday afternoon. The Thoroughbreds fall to 4-3 in Liberty League play, while the Brewers improved to a perfect 8-0 in conference.

DOUBLES MATCHES

• At first doubles, the Thoroughbreds first year duo of Ginevra Muratori/Ellie Lake clinched a decisive 6-1 win over Vassar's Erin McCusker/Iris Li.
• At second doubles, the Skidmore pairing of Amelie Gonzalez/Maggie English battled to a competitive 6-4 loss at the hands of the Brewers' Ananya Krishnan/Maddie Kirby.
• At third doubles, the Thoroughbreds lost in a 6-0 sweep to concede the doubles point.

SINGLES MATCHES

• At first singles, freshman Ellie Lake fell in straight sets to Vassar's Erin McCusker 6-2, 6-4.
• At second singles, sophomore Maggie English took a pair of games before losing 6-2, 6-0 to the Brewers' Iris Li.
• At third singles, freshman Mia Rosenberg lost to Vassar's Sieun Lee 6-1, 6-1.
• At fourth singles, sophomore Maeve O'Brien-McKevitt fell to Vassar's Ananya Krishnan 6-1, 6-2.
• The Thoroughbreds forfeited at fifth and sixth singles.

UP NEXT
The Thoroughbreds will conclude the regular season tomorrow morning by hosting Ithaca at 2 PM. Skidmore can clinch a top-four seed with a win and a Union loss to St. Lawrence.
