COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Skidmore College softball team swept a non-league doubleheader at Cobleskill on Wednesday afternoon. The Thoroughbreds rallied for 10 runs in the fourth inning of game one for a 14-3 win in five innings before claiming the nightcap in eight innings by a 6-4 score.
- The Thoroughbreds improve to 15-13 with the pair of victories over the Fighting Tigers.
- Cobleskill is 11-14.

Game 1 – Skidmore 14, Cobleskill 3
- With a slim 3-1 lead, Skidmore rallied for 10 runs on eight hits in the top of the fourth inning. Madison Bonham was the catalyst with a leadoff double, and later had a two-run triple in her second at bat. Elle Harrison had a pair of hits in the inning, and Sam Waters reached twice on a walk and a single. Bonham and Harrison both scored twice in the monster inning.
- Skidmore finished with 14 hits, and five Thoroughbreds had multi-hit games.
- Delaney Swain went 4-for-4.
- Waters was 2-for—3 with a walk and two runs. She led off the top of the third with a homer to tie the game at one.
- Lulu Mickle went 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBI, and two runs scored.
- For Skidmore in the circle, Mallory Allen earned her eighth win. She allowed two runs on five hits with a walk and a strikeout.
- Avery Prievo went 3-for3 with two RBI, including a solo homer, for the hosts.

Game 2 – Skidmore 6, Cobleskill 4 (8 inn.)
- Rachel Monser and Harrison hit run-scoring singles in the extra inning to give the Thoroughbreds a two-run cushion, and Mayne finished the job in the circle by getting all three hitters to bounce out to seal the sweep.
- Skidmore tied the game at four in the sixth. Monser doubled before scoring on a Bonham single a batter later.
- Waters tripled to lead off the game and scored when Mayne grounded out.
- The Fighting Tigers evened it up in the bottom of the first with an unearned run.
- In the top of the third, Mickle tripled to lead off and scored on a Mayne first-pitch single. Then, Mayne scored two batters later on a Nate' Burley sacrifice fly.
- Prievo continued her strong day for Cobleskill in the bottom of the third when she cracked a two-run double to tie it up. She later scored on a Gabriella Wendelken sac fly to give Cobleskill its first lead since the first inning of game one.
- Bonham went 3-for-3 to finish the day with five hits.
- Swain added two more hits to finish the day 6-for-8.
- Mayne went the distance, allowing four runs, three earned, on just six hits over eight innings. She did not issue a walk and struck out a pair.
