Skidmore regroups with dominant win at Clarkson

POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's basketball team bounced back with a dominant day from start to finish in a 77-48 victory at Clarkson on Saturday.
  • Skidmore (4-9, 2-4 Liberty League) led for 38:23 of the 40-minute contest, building its lead to as many as 31 in the fourth quarter.
  • Madison Meyer paced the Thoroughbreds with a game-high 21 points on 10-of-21 shooting to go along with eight steals and three assists.
  • Sophia Martinez added 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting, knocking down 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, while also handing out three assists.
  • Claudia Schneider finished with 12 points and six rebounds.
  • Ruby Krop posted nine rebounds and three blocks.
  • Audrey Bowen chipped in eight points, while Sara Hastie recorded four points, four rebounds, three steals, and a team-high five assists.
  • Skidmore forced 26 Clarkson turnovers and turned them into 25 points, while holding the Golden Knights to 37.0 percent shooting (20-of-54) and 20.0 percent from 3-point range (4-of-20).
  • The Thoroughbreds built a 41-26 halftime lead, holding Clarkson to single digits in the first quarter, and then stretched the margin with a 21-10 third period.
  • Skidmore held advantages in points in the paint (42-24) and bench points (26-17), while both teams scored 18 second-chance points.
  • Bella Doyle finished with 10 points to lead the way for Clarkson (6-8, 2-5)
