SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College volleyball team won 6-of-7 sets on Saturday on the way to victories over both Plattsburgh State and Manhattanville University. The Thoroughbreds swept Plattsburgh (25-20, 25-22, 25-17) before defeating Manhattanville in four sets to close the tri-match (25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 25-13).

Match 1 – Skidmore 3, Plattsburgh 0
- Junior Madison Manning and first-year Chloe Heitman led the Thoroughbreds to the sweep with double-digit kills. Heitman posted a double-double consisting of 11 kills and 12 digs, while Manning led all players with 12 kills. She also had four block assists and three aces, while Heitman made just one error in 18 swings for a .556 hitting percentage.
- Skidmore his .301 as a team and finished with a 9-4 edge in blocks.
- Maya Stolarz racked up seven kills with three digs and a couple blocks.
- Angie Mozrall contributed six kills on just nine swings.
- Catriona Hoelperl finished with 26 assists, seven digs, and two aces.
- Iris Mulvey had a team-high eight kills and 11 digs for the Cardinals.
- Skidmore went on a 6-2 run in the first set to take a 19-14 lead. Later, Plattsburgh (3-8) scored four in a row to even the set at 20. Skidmore won it by scoring the last five points in succession capped by two Manning kills and a Mozrall kill to clinch it.
- Â In the second, the Thoroughbreds scored six unanswered early, and after another push from the visitors, needed a 6-1 run to come from behind and take a 22-19 lead. Heitman had all three of Skidmore's kills during the stretch. The visitors closed to within a point twice before Heitman put down another kill followed by a Plattsburgh error to make the match 2-0.
- Skidmore led by as many as eight, and never trailed, in the third set on the way to finishing off the sweep.

Match 2 – Skidmore 3, Manhattanville 1
- Heitman led the way again, finishing with 13 kills in the four-set win to go with six digs, an assist, and an assisted block.
- Jazlin Chen had 11 kills and a .667 swing percentage with two block assists.
- Maya Stolarz tallied eight kills with two blocks.
- Katy O'Connell had six blocks, three solo, and three kills.
- Hoelperl totaled a season-high 36 kills. She also contributed four kills, 11 digs, and a block.
- Marlowe McIntyre totaled 22 digs, four assists, and three assists.
- Manning led all players with four aces. She also had four kills and two digs.
- Loren Hernandez carried the load for the Valiants with 22 kills and eight digs.
- Skidmore's block came through again as it posted an 8-2 edge in the category.
- In the first, Skidmore found itself in a 15-10 hole after the visitors scored six points unanswered. The Thoroughbreds responded promptly with nine points in a row on Manning's serve. The surge featured three kills from Stolarz and two from Heitman.
- Manhattanville (6-5) went up early in the second, leading by as many as six. Skidmore played from behind all the way until it rolled off the final six points of the set to capture the 2-0 lead.
- The Valiants set the tone for the third when it scored the game's first six points and later led by as many as 12 in forcing the match to the fourth set.
- It was all Skidmore in the fourth. Manhattanville held an early 2-1 lead, but Skidmore grabbed the ensuing seven points, again on Manning's serve. Then, when it was 15-7 Skidmore, the Thoroughbreds put it out of reach with nine unanswered points.
- Earlier in the afternoon, Manhattanville beat Plattsburgh in four sets.
