WATERVILLE, Maine -
Abby Ezickson and
Erin Ohlenbusch netted two goals apiece and the Skidmore College field hockey team rolled to a 7–2 non-conference win over Husson on Saturday at Bernatchez Field on the campus of Thomas College. The Thoroughbreds led 5–0 at halftime and secured the victory for the weekend sweep at Thomas.
- Ezickson, who scored Friday's game winner against host Thomas, is already up to three goals on the young season.
- Colby Paul put Skidmore on the board just 45 seconds in, sending home a feed from Anna D'Amore for a 1–0 lead. Ohlenbusch doubled it at 5:11 off a penalty-corner sequence started by Ella Costa, and Mia Angwin made it 3–0 at 13:03.
- Ezickson struck 1:34 into the second quarter, and Ohlenbusch's second at 20:40, again from Costa, sent Skidmore to the break up 5–0.
- Husson's Maddie Perkins scored twice (30:25, 46:33), but Skidmore answered late: Ezickson finished Angwin's setup at 49:57 and Emma Houff capped the day at 58:56, also from Angwin.
- Angwin totaled four points (1G, 2A). Costa handed out two assists and served the corner unit that generated a 12–1 advantage in penalty corners. Skidmore outshot Husson 18–4 (12–2 on goal).
- Leah Pushard recorded two defensive saves for Husson. Skidmore rotated its three goalkeepers—Allison Morgan, Nicole Sylvestri and Lily Mae Dreyfuss. Morgan, the starter, earned her second win of the weekend. Husson's Ella Duchette made three saves.
