Skidmore volleyball names Kelsea Healis Assistant Coach

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Skidmore College women's volleyball head coach Lindsay King has announced the addition of Kelsea Healis to the staff as an assistant coach.

Healis joins Skidmore after three seasons as head coach at Plattsburgh State, where she led the program to its first SUNYAC Tournament berth in 10 years and its best start in 30 years.

She will work primarily with the Thoroughbreds' setters while assisting in all aspects of the program.

"We are so excited to have Kelsea join the Skidmore volleyball program," King said. "She brings great experience, a love for the game, and a true passion for working with student-athletes. She's going to be such a great fit for our team and the culture we're building here."

Healis's coaching experience also includes roles at SUNY Geneseo and Alfred University, where she helped the Saxons to an Empire 8 Tournament appearance. At both Alfred and Plattsburgh, she served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor, fostering leadership and community engagement among student-athletes. Healis is also currently coaching at Spa City Volleyball Club.

A standout student-athlete at SUNY Potsdam, Healis was a four-year starter, two-year captain, and active member of SAAC. Originally from Rohnert Park, Calif., she earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Potsdam and an MBA from Alfred University.
