Bob Dean named Assistant Softball Coach

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Skidmore College head softball coach Liz Neubinski has announced the hiring of Bob Dean as assistant coach for the Thoroughbreds.

Dean joins the program with more than a decade of coaching experience at the high school and travel levels. Most recently, he led his Glens Falls Titans 12U travel team to a 42-14-2 record, coaching alongside his daughters, Alivia and Kennedy. He also spent three seasons as head varsity softball coach at Queensbury High School and previously coached with the Adirondack USSSA Pride.

"I'm incredibly excited to add Coach Dean to our staff," said Neubinski. "His passion for the game is contagious, and his experience at both the high school and travel levels brings great perspective to our program. I know our team is going to benefit from his knowledge, energy, and commitment."

Dean teaches special education and global history at Queensbury High School, where he has also coached freshman and JV football for 10 years and modified wrestling for six. A Queensbury native, he pitched collegiately at SUNY Oneonta and the College of Saint Rose, earning NYS Pitcher of the Week honors and ranking 23rd nationally in strikeouts his senior season. He later signed a professional contract with the Adirondack Lumberjacks of the Northeast League.

Dean resides in Queensbury with his wife, Jenn, daughters Alivia, Finley and Kennedy, and golden retriever Mickey.
