Jackson Hornung ’23 promoted to Double-A New Hampshire

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Skidmore College graduate Jackson Hornung '23 has been promoted to the Toronto Blue Jays' Double-A affiliate, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the team announced Tuesday.

Hornung, a 2024 Northwest League All-Star, was batting .308 over 44 games to start the 2025 season with the High-A Vancouver Canadians. He ranked second in the league in hitting and recorded three home runs, 24 RBIs, and a .855 OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage).

A two-time Liberty League Player of the Year, Hornung became the first player in Skidmore baseball history to earn All-America honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) in 2022. He was selected by the Blue Jays in the 16th round of the MLB Draft shortly after graduation.

The Ashland, Massachusetts, native will join the Fisher Cats on the road this week as they face the Hartford Yard Goats. Based in Manchester, New Hampshire, the Fisher Cats play just 70 miles from Hornung's hometown.
